Chrnox — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 June 2026.
Chrnox is a studio for building, exploring, and sharing timelines. This policy explains what
data the app collects, why, and the choices you have. We collect as little as possible and never
sell your data.
Data we collect
- Account email. If you create an account, your email address is stored by our
authentication provider (Supabase) so you can sign in and sync across devices. You can also use
the app without an account, in which case your timelines stay only on your device.
- Your content. Timelines you create — titles, events, dates, notes, tags, and
any photos you attach — are stored so the app can show them back to you and sync them if you are
signed in. Content you choose to publish to the public wall (including your public
display name) becomes visible to other users; private photos are stripped before publishing.
- Usage analytics (optional, off by default). If you turn analytics on in
Settings, we record anonymous product-interaction events through PostHog to understand how the
app is used. Events are tied to your opaque account id only — never to your email address. With
analytics off, the analytics code is never loaded and nothing is sent.
Third parties
- Supabase — hosts your account and synced content (data processor).
- PostHog — receives anonymous usage events only if you opt in (data processor).
- Wikipedia / Wikimedia — when you use the optional enrichment feature, the app
requests article summaries and images from Wikipedia. Your request reaches Wikimedia's servers.
- Google Fonts — the web font may be loaded from Google's CDN, which receives
your IP address as part of that request.
We do not use advertising trackers, the iOS Advertising Identifier (IDFA), or App Tracking
Transparency. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account. You can permanently delete your account and its
associated data from inside the app: Settings → Account → Delete account.
- Analytics. Turn it on or off anytime in Settings → Privacy & legal.
- Export. Export your timelines anytime via Settings → Data.
